Find a Way... In Montana!

Hello everyone!

For all my previous customers in Blacksburg, Virginia, I have relocated to Dixon, Montana. I'll likely be out west until November-ish.

For new customers, thanks for viewing this blog for Find a Way Bake and Crochet!

I started this baking endeavor while I was attending school (got my degrees in Human Nutrition and Agricultural Sciences) at Virginia Tech, selling bagels and breads and such out of my apartment. Since I started working at Fialky Farm in Dixon, Montana, I've been selling my baked goods at the Clark Fork Farmers Market... and loving it!

I love meeting and talking with you guys about the products and getting your feedback. So, please, if you have any suggestions (that means you, New Yorkers!), don't hesitate to pass them my way.

Most of you have probably bought only my bagels or shortbread at the market. I sincerely hope you have enjoyed those and will possibly branch out to my other concoctions, such as pitas, honey wheat hamburger buns, and breads. If you'd like to make sure an item is at market, feel free to special order it by Thursday night. You can pick from any item at the bottom of this post.

If you're viewing this page, I most likely gave you one of my bagel business cards (so cute, right?) with my email address on it. Use this to contact me, please! Just in case: schultz.jessica.vt@gmail.com

A note on ingredients:

You'll notice on the left side of the page that I tried to use my best judgment in sourcing my ingredients while I was in Virginia. It is no different in Montana. I try to procure local, organic ingredients whenever possible. This is the real deal. I'm trying to embrace Montana in my cooking as much as my lifestyle. Here is a list of my most commonly used ingredients and their sources:

Wheat Flours (whole and all-purpose) --- Wheat Montana (purchased at Muralt's)
Organic Sugar --- purchased at Costco

Back to School! And the Kitchen!

Heya!

I'm back in town and ready for orders! Please note some items may not be on the menu due to seasonality. Conversely, some additions have been made, too. With school starting up again, I've been a bit slow in the recipe development and pricing, so please be patient with me :]

Also, don't forget to order your direct trade and locally roasted coffee from Spoke 'n' Beans: http://www.spokenbeans.com/static/index.html.

They can deliver your goods via bike on Sundays and Mondays as well, for a 10% fee. Of course, you can still pick them up or try to track me down on campus!
